Join the PKU community for an unforgettable day at Hersheypark on Saturday, June 27, 2026! Families from across the region will come together for thrilling rides, community connection, low-protein vendors, giveaways, and special activities designed just for our PKU & IEM families. Whether this is your first event or you’re returning for another year, PKU in the Park is all about building friendships and making sweet memories together.

Check-in at Hershey’s Chocolate World from 9AM–11AM featuring low-protein vendors, samples, resources, and community connections.

Enjoy a full day at Hersheypark from 10AM – 10PM with access to rides, attractions, water park areas, and entertainment.

Use your PKU passport to play group bingo throughout the day and join us at the Catering Pavilion (TBD) for dinner with low-protein options, raffle prizes, and our annual group photo.

Start your day at our PKU in the Park Vendor Fair located inside Hershey’s Chocolate World from 9 – 11 AM. Check in with our team, pick up your event materials and goodie bags, and connect with low-protein vendors and community partners.

This is a great opportunity to:

connect with other PKU & IEM families before entering the park
start filling your bingo card to earn raffle tickets

Please park in the Hersheypark parking lot for the day and walk to Chocolate World for check-in. This will help avoid needing to move your vehicle later.

Enjoy a full day at Hersheypark from 10:00AM–10:00PM with access to rides, attractions, entertainment, and water attractions.

Join us for our PKU in the Park group dinner from 5 – 7 PM at the Great Bear Catering Pavilion. This is one of the best opportunities of the day to relax, reconnect, and spend time together as a community.

Dinner will include:

low-protein meal options
announcements & acknowledgements
redeem raffle tickets from your bingo card
raffle prize drawings
annual group photo

Group photo begins around 6:00 PM followed by prize announcements.

A catering ticket is required to enter the pavilion.

Throughout the day, attendees will have opportunities to participate in informal meetups, ride groups, family connections, and community activities around Hersheypark. Meetup times and locations may vary depending on the day’s schedule, weather, and group interest.

Join the PKU community for an unforgettable fall day filled with pumpkin spice & everything nice at Busch Gardens Williamsburg on Saturday, October 10, 2026! Experience heart-pounding thrills & chills, festive fall activities, and the spine-tingling excitement of the park’s Howl-O-Scream season alongside families and friends who truly understand the PKU & IEM journey. From rides and low-protein vendors to community connection and group activities, PKU in the Park is all about building lifelong friendships, creating memories, and celebrating our community together during one of the most exciting times of the year.

Connect with low-protein vendors and community partners from 1 – 2 PM in the group Catering Pavilion (TBD) during our on-site vendor fair featuring samples, resources, giveaways, and opportunities to discover new products and support services.

Enjoy a full day at Busch Gardens Williamsburg from 10 AM – 11 PM with access to world-class coasters, family rides, live entertainment, fall décor, and seasonal Howl-O-Scream festivities throughout the park.

Use your PKU passport to play group bingo throughout the day and join us at the Catering Pavilion (TBD) for dinner with low-protein options, raffle prizes, and our annual group photo.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are a few helpful things to know before joining the fun at PKU in the Park.

Everyone! Whether you have PKU or an allied disorder, love someone in our community, or simply want to support the community, you’re welcome to join. Bring your family and friends.

Season Pass holders are charged $35 per person, reflecting a $20 discounted rate. Event costs—including catering, t-shirts, and other miscellaneous expenses (not including park tickets)—average $50–$80 per person. Your contribution helps offset these costs and supports our commitment to keeping PKU in the Park affordable for all families, while allowing the event to remain free for individuals with PKU or allied disorders.

Registration includes access to the Vendor Fair and community gathering, facilitated meet-ups throughout the day, and participation in the planned group meal and park admission.

Lo Pro dietary needs are thoughtfully considered throughout the event. The group meal will be planned with Lo Pro-appropriate options in mind, and our team will be available to help families navigate food choices and accommodations during the day.

Yes. Meet-ups and important updates will be shared through an event app, allowing attendees to connect easily while enjoying the park at their own pace.

Absolutely. PKU in the Park is family-friendly, and activities can be enjoyed by children, teens, and adults.

Absolutely! In fact, 50% of our Alliance PKU Families board members are adults with PKU. This event is a wonderful opportunity for adults to connect, share experiences, and help make our community even stronger—come join us!

No. Participation is flexible. Families are welcome to join as much or as little of the day’s activities as they choose.

Hotel accommodations are not included. Attendees traveling from out of town are encouraged to book lodging early, as hotels near Hershey Park and Busch Gardens fill quickly.
