Get ready for two unforgettable days of fun, connection, and community at Hershey Park, PA and Busch Gardens, VA! PKU in the Park brings families and individuals living with PKU together to share experiences, build friendships, and enjoy the park together.


Join Us for the 3rd Annual PKU in the Park, PA!
Start the day connecting with our community and PKU and allied disorders-focused vendors at a private gathering at Hersheyโs Chocolate World, then enjoy a fun-filled day together inside Hershey Park. Meet-ups will be coordinated through an event app, allowing families to connect throughout the day while enjoying the park at their own pace. A group meal will be shared in the park with Low Protein dietary needs thoughtfully supported, creating a welcoming and inclusive experience for all.

FAQ
Who Can Attend?
Everyone! Whether you have PKU or an allied disorder, love someone in our community, or simply want to support the community, youโre welcome to join. Bring your family and friends.
I am a season pass holder for one of the parks, why does it still cost money to attend?
Season Pass holders are charged $35 per person, reflecting a $20 discounted rate. Event costsโincluding catering, t-shirts, and other miscellaneous expenses (not including park tickets)โaverage $50โ$80 per person. Your contribution helps offset these costs and supports our commitment to keeping PKU in the Park affordable for all families, while allowing the event to remain free for individuals with PKU or allied disorders.
What is included with registration?
Registration includes access to the Vendor Fair and community gathering, facilitated meet-ups throughout the day, and participation in the planned group meal and park admission.
How are dietary needs supported?
Lo Pro dietary needs are thoughtfully considered throughout the event. The group meal will be planned with Lo Pro-appropriate options in mind, and our team will be available to help families navigate food choices and accommodations during the day.
Will there be a schedule or meeting points?
Yes. Meet-ups and important updates will be shared through an event app, allowing attendees to connect easily while enjoying the park at their own pace.
Is the event appropriate for young children?
Absolutely. PKU in the Park is family-friendly, and activities can be enjoyed by children, teens, and adults.
Is the event appropriate for adults with PKU or allied disorders?
Absolutely! In fact, 50% of our Alliance PKU Families board members are adults with PKU. This event is a wonderful opportunity for adults to connect, share experiences, and help make our community even strongerโcome join us!
Do I need to attend everything?
No. Participation is flexible. Families are welcome to join as much or as little of the dayโs activities as they choose.
Are hotels included or reserved for attendees?
Hotel accommodations are not included. Attendees traveling from out of town are encouraged to book lodging early, as hotels near Hershey Park and Busch Gardens fill quickly.
How do I stay informed before and during the event?
